Well, to recap:: The fire grew larger, creating more light, the detective began to look for clues, and a mysterious note was found.
The reason behind why I haven’t updated in a few days? Well, assignments and stuff xD

The fire has spread some, you now have more light.Those flames could potentially BURN the whole forest. But, you aren’t a water type so there isn’t much you can do about that now.
Concerned about the THUD you heard, you call out into the forest.
Listening carefully you can hear something breathing heavily. You’re no coward, but it does frighten you a bit.
===> Well, since I’m in an apparently new part of the forest, I might as well see what else I can find, right? 
You begin to look around, there isn’t much to see.
Some sticks, rocks, mud..and - wait, what’s that?
The note sends shivers racing down your spine, and you begin to feel like you’re being watched.You begin to examine the note, and find mud stains and something that looks like..blood? Probably your imagination. All you can determine from this is: 1) The author does not know how to properly spell “Having”, and 2) they can see you..
What now?

You make the choice to explore the forest! Since it’s still dark, you can’t see all that well, but you get the bright idea to let off a little electric spark.Doing so, you accidentally light a tree branch on fire, oh well. Least you can see now! 
==>Check out that sweet axe!
You turn around and find an axe stuck in a tree stump. You try to remove it, but you’re not strong enough.
CRUNCH…
!!
Quickly, you turn around, but you don’t see anything that could have made the noise..
CRUNCH.. crunch…crunch…THUD!
What now??
==> Check that inventory! Never know if you have anything useful in there. Like maybe a flash light … which would be useful right about now.
You don’t have a whole lot in here, all you have is your trusty magnifying glass.
But, that won’t do much to help with this darkness. It is handy for looking for clues though. 
==> With new found sight in the dark, start inspecting around the forest.
Investigate! Something you’re good at! (Or so you like to think anyway)
You close your inventory and start to look around the forest, but you can only see things right in front of your eyes…
So, you don’t notice the root, causing you to trip over it.
Ouch, that wasn’t fun. 
You rub the new bump on your head, and with your free hand you feel something familiar..
You obtained your hat!
While it doesn’t boost any of your stats, it does have sentimental value, and it makes you look cooler. Style is a very important aspect of being a detective after all.
So? How do you proceed?
==>Enter forest! leave no hat behind
You proceed deeper into the forest, it is dark and hard to see.
You almost trip over something (A tree root maybe? or perhaps it was a rock. It’s too dark to see much)
After a short while, your eyes slowly begin to adjust to the lack of light, at least now you can make out trees that might be in your way.
what now?
==> “I would trace my steps back and try to find it!”
You can’t trace your steps back! There are too many other foot prints in the way and you can’t find your own! 
==> Go further into the forest
You proceed deeper into the forest, coming to a dark path that looks rather ominous.
Who knows what kind of creatures are hiding within.

You somehow got lost within a FOREST somewhere, and you seem to have misplaced your HAT.
What do you do?

Welcome to our first interactive adventure.
It’s not too hard to figure out what to do!
Within this tale, you will be in control of our spunky little detective, Jiki.
Now, you’re probably wondering just what you have to do.
Well, that’s simple enough.
1) When prompted, you can submit commands to the ask box
The prompts will be in bold, so no worries.
I’ll be selecting the most common ones, or the most interesting ones.
But don’t worry if your command isn’t chosen! You’ll have a ton more chances!
2) Your goal, of course, is to gather clues and solve the case. Absolutely anything can turn out to be an important clue. So don’t be afraid to think outside of the box.
3) Of course, you also will have to figure out just what the case is, but don’t worry, it won’t be too hard.
4) Any other questions can be asked via ask box.
